I spent all day out scouting and photographing what little fall color we have here in Northern Virginia. Maybe that's a bit cynical, as there are spots of really beautiful color mixed in here and there. Either way, being out on this warm autumn day was a treat. In this photograph, I decided to try some pan blurs of some beech trunks. The color is still about a week away for this particular stand of trees, so I decided to try out some pan blurs. I particularly liked the result of this one. Tomorrow, I head to Whiteoak Canyon in Shenandoah National Park to photograph some waterfalls.
