Adult Northern Two-lined Salamander on Pebbles, Monongahela National Forest, West Virginia

During my trip to West Virginia, I spent the mid-day hours looking for snakes and salamanders to photograph. I didn't have as much luck as usual, but I did manage to find a few animals, including this Northern Two-lined Salamander. This salamander was easily the most beautiful of its species that I had found, with its large size and striking patterns. I made a little studio on some colorful pebbles near where I found him, and managed to get a few images.
