A Coiled up Canebrake Rattlesnake (Crotalus horridus) on Gravel, North Carolina

Here's another snake for you guys! This Timber Rattlesnake, unofficially known as the Canebrake Rattlesnake when found in the swampy coastal plain, was found one morning crossing a gravel road. This was the second Timber Rattlesnake I have ever seen in my life, and my first photographs of one. I particularly liked the yellow cheeks found on this individual.
